Progress Project

On the successful delivery of a peer mentoring project in Hastings, DWP (Department of Work and Pensions) asked us to intervene and assist with improving the engagement and outcomes for the national Progress Project in the South East.

We were asked because of our proven track record in helping people, who have multiple complex issues, get jobs and engage in education and training.

We accepted more than 3,000 referrals and worked with more than 10 peer mentoring teams across the South East. We covered East and West Sussex, Kent, Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.

More than 50% of the participants achieved a successful outcome; such as getting a job, starting their own business, becoming a volunteer, going to College, starting a University course or taking part in a local training programme.
